10.Resistance: High resistance to leaf disease
11. Others: Use raised beds in rainy regions to improve drainage and root health. Since good pollination affects fruit shape and yield, hand‑pollinate early morning when bee activity is low to ensure better set
12. Advantage: Besides premium seeds, we offer cultivation guidance, technical support, and customized packaging to distributors, wholesalers, and OEM partners
13. Advice: For larger, more uniform fruits, professional growers limit fruit numbers per vine, letting the plant channel nutrients to selected melons
14. Preparation of nutrient soil:
For melon nursery, take field soil from previous soybean, onion, or garlic crops—it must be loose, aerated, residue‑free, and disease‑free. Nutrient bowls should hold together firmly at transplanting
To nourish young plants, prepare 1 m³ of mix as: 5 parts field soil, 5 parts well‑rotted organic manure, 2–3 kg superphosphate, 0.5–0.8 kg urea, 0.2 kg 70% mancozeb, 10–15 kg plant ash (or green ash), and 0.2 kg phoxim or chlorpyrifos. Mix thoroughly, then leave to rest for 10–15 days before use

DISEASE AND PEST CONTROL:
Prevention and control of melon downy mildew (caused by lower fungi):
- In greenhouse cultivation, properly manage temperature differences and ventilation, and ensure adequate water circulation.
- For open-field cultivation, ensure prompt drainage after rainfall.
- Upon early detection, apply fungicides such as Baijunqing + Propionizer Zinc, or Jingjia Shuangling + Daisen Manganese Zinc.
- For severe infections, use enoxymorpholine, cyanothalonil, or fipronil for effective control.
Prevention and control of melon aphids and thrips:
- For aphids, do not use single‑agent products (e.g., imidacloprid or pymetrozine) alone, as they offer limited control. Instead, apply a compound formulation of imidacloprid and pymetrozine.
- If aphid resistance is high, consider using fipronil, which also provides control against thrips.
- For severe thrips infestations, ethylphosphamide (Aleutide) is recommended.
