12.Sprouting way: Hot Water Disinfection: First, immerse the seeds in hot water at 60-65°C for 30-35 seconds while stirring rapidly by hand, then immediately remove them.
Warm Water Soaking and Cleaning: Soak the disinfected seeds in room-temperature clean water for 7-9 hours. During this period, rinse the seeds 2-3 times with warm water around 25°C to rub off mucilage and impurities from the seed coat surface.
Germination Incubation: After soaking, wrap seeds in breathable damp gauze and place in a greenhouse or germination chamber at 25–30°C. Spray water daily and turn seeds to prevent shriveling or mold growth.
Critical Timing and Chemical Treatment: When most seeds show “white tips” (i.e., radicles emerge approximately 0.2-0.3 cm), it is the optimal time for seed treatment with pesticides. Treating seeds with fungicides like carbendazim effectively prevents seedling diseases and promotes vigorous growth. Handle seeds gently to avoid damaging the radicles.
